Our daffodils in Barrow, Alaska
Few years back Demetri and I, we visited Barrow, Alaska. It is the northenmost city in the United States and it is located north of the Arctic Circle. That meens the winter has total darkness, 67 days of it! Lack of natural sun light can be hard on many people, aspecialy youth. We made some friends there and promissed to send flowers to bring some cheer early in the spring. The first flowers of the year are daffodils, so each year we send some.
The look on the face of the little boy is priceless! I think this is the first time in his life he is seeing such a beautiful flower!
