Women's Day Daffodil Giveawy
GreenGable celebrated International Women's Day by giving away 5,000 daffodils!
March 8 is one of the biggest flower holidays in Europe. Every woman gets flowers. I remember my Mom coming home from work with literally buckets of flowers! I also remember as a child trying to buy
a flower for my favorite teacher and all I was able to get was a carnation so tight, that the bud was not even showing a color.
The holiday started in Germany in 1914 with a march for women's right to vote. It took four years for that to happen. The tradition of celebrating women's achivements is still going strong every year on March 8.
